How to prepare the PDF
Two rules that matter
- One question type per PDF. Keep multiple-choice and free-response in separate files. Each file is priced on its own.
- Answers go in the same PDF as the questions. Mixed in or all at the end are both fine, as long as it’s one file.
An answer key in its own file can’t be reliably matched back to the questions. Combine the bank and its key into one PDF before uploading so the answers land in the right place.
No answer key at all? That works too. Pick “No answers in the PDF” when you upload, and the AI works the answers out. Check anything important against your own material.
How it works on the calculator
The menu shows how many questions are in the bank. Search for a term, open a result, and use the left and right keys to move between matching questions. The word you searched for is highlighted in each one.
Still there after a reset.
The bank lives in Archive memory, so a RAM clear doesn’t touch it. Every question is still there afterward. Very convenient.
Question-bank questions
How big can the bank be?
Big banks get split across several data files on the calculator but still search as one library. Your calculator’s storage is the practical limit.
Can one PDF have both multiple-choice and free-response?
Split them into two PDFs first. Each PDF should hold one type so neither gets mangled.
Does search look through the answers too?
Yes. Answers and explanations that are part of a question’s note get searched along with it.
Can I upload a publisher’s question bank?
Only if you have permission to use it. We delete your uploads and working files after delivery. The Terms cover what you can upload.
