Computer to calculator

How to copy and paste notes onto a TI-84 Plus CE.

There is no normal clipboard between your laptop and calculator. You create the text on your computer, convert it into calculator files, and transfer those files with TI Connect CE.

Fastest route: click “Add your own notes” on CiNotes, paste up to 300 words free, enter an email, and download the calculator-ready files when they arrive. Longer text blocks are available for a one-time fee.

Copy text with CiNotes

  2. Choose + Add your own notes.
  3. Give the note a title and paste your text.
  4. Add more note blocks if you want separate sections.
  5. Enter your email and continue. The exact price appears before checkout.
  6. Transfer every delivered file with TI Connect CE.

Short notes are actually free

Up to 300 total pasted words costs $0. That makes this the easiest way to test CiNotes before converting a longer PDF.

Why not paste directly into TI Connect CE?

The calculator does not understand ordinary clipboard text, Word documents, Google Docs, or PDFs. The material must be encoded into a TI program or AppVar format and paired with something that knows how to display it.

That conversion layer is what tools like Notes CE and CiNotes provide. CiNotes additionally creates a search index, highlights matches, supports smooth scrolling, and remembers where you stopped.

No re-pasting after a reset

Pasted CiNotes survive a normal RAM clear.

The viewer, text data, search index, pairing, and saved place live in Archive memory. A normal RAM clear leaves them intact.

Common copy-and-paste questions

Can I paste from Google Docs or Word?

Yes. Copy the text from either app and paste it into a CiNotes custom-note block. For a long formatted document, exporting to PDF usually preserves structure better.

Can I edit the notes on the calculator?

CiNotes is designed for browsing and searching, not on-calculator editing. Edit the source on your computer and create a replacement set when needed.

Does it work on Mac and Windows?

The website works in a normal browser. TI Connect CE is available for both macOS and Windows.

Your keyboard is better than a calculator keypad.
